Comprehensive traffic advisory issued for Yatra

Jammu, June 27: In preparation for the forthcoming ShriAmarnathJiYatra 2024 (SANJY-2024), the Traffic Police Headquarters J&K has issued a detailed traffic advisory to ensure the safety and smooth movement of Yatris and other commuters. The advisory, valid from June 28 to August 19, 2024, outlines specific cut-off timings and guidelines for various convoy and non-convoy movements.
Yatra convoy cut-off timings for movement between Jammu Zone and Kashmir Valley. The Up Baltal Convoy from Jammu to Baltal, departure from Jammu: 04:00 hrs, departure from Lamber (Banihal): 10:00 hrs, departure from Manigam: 17:00 hrs and Down Baltal Convoy from Baltal to Jammu, departure from Baltal: 06:00 hrs, departure from Lamber (Banihal): 11:30 hrs
The Pahalgam Up Convoy from Jammu to Pahalgam , departure from Jammu: 04:30 hrs, departure from Lamber (Banihal): 11:00 hrs and Down Pahalgam Convoy to Jammu, departure from Pahalgam: 06:00 hrs, departure from Nunwan, Pahalgam: 06:30 hrs, departure from Lamber (Banihal): 08:00 hrs
As per advisory cut-off timings for Non-Convoy Yatris/Tourists from NAVYUG Tunnel to Valley and Vice Versa, from Jammu to Pahalgam (other than main convoy arriving from Jammu), Last vehicle to cross NAVYUG Tunnel towards Valley: 15:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Mir Bazar towards Anantnag: 16:00 hrs. From PanthaChowk to Manigam (other than main convoy arriving from Jammu), last vehicle to cross Peaks Crossing, Lassjan towards Manigam: 15:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Shadipora/Sumbal towards Manigam: 15:30 hrs, last vehicle to cross Manigam Transit Camp towards Baltal: 17:00 hrs,
From Baltal to NAVYUG Tunnel (Jammu-bound other than main convoy leaving at 06:00 hrs from Baltal), last vehicle to leave Baltal Base Camp towards Manigam: 09:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Sonamarg P/S towards Manigam: 10:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Manigam Transit Camp towards Shadipora/Sumbal:12:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Shadipora crossing towards Peaks Automobile: 13:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross PanthaChowk towards Anantnag:15:00 hrs.
From Nunwan, Pahalgam to NAVYUG Tunnel (other than main convoy leaving at 06:30 hrs from Nunwan), last vehicle to cross Nunwan towards Jammu: 10:00 hrs.
From Mir Bazar to NAVYUG Tunnel (other than main convoy leaving at 06:00 hrs from Pahalgam and 06:30 hrs from Nunwan), last vehicle to cross Mir Bazar towards NAVYUG Tunnel: 17:00 hrs, last vehicle to cross Walnut Factory Qazigund towards NAVYUG Tunnel: 17:30 hrs.
The general cut-off timings, movement restrictions; No Yatri/tourist vehicle shall be allowed to cross NAVYUG Tunnel towards Kashmir after 15:00 hrs, No Yatri/tourist vehicle shall be allowed from Pahalgam towards Jammu/Srinagar after 15:30 hrs, No Yatri/tourist vehicle shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Srinagar after 16:00 hrs and No Yatri/tourist vehicle shall be allowed from Gulmarg towards Srinagar.
The Yatris/tourists are advised to travel in Kashmir Valley only between 0700 hrs to 1800 hrs and should plan their travel accordingly, so that they reach their destination within this time period. After withdrawal of ROP, i.e 1800 hrs, no vehicle of Yatri/tourist shall be allowed further movement. Concerned Police/Traffic/SFs shall bring such vehicles to nearest Yatri/SFs camp.
This advisory is valid only for Yatris/Yatra Convoy/Tourists. For other HMVs/LMVs/SFs Convoys, please refer to the Daily Traffic Advisory issued by Traffic Police.
