Complete the steel bridge on time: DC Kishtwar to executing agencies

KISHTWAR, DEC 25: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav on Sunday conducted a day-long tour of the Soundar area of the Dachhan block of district Kishtwar and listened to the grievances of people besides kick-started construction of motorable steel Bridge, inspected PMGSY Dachhan Road and took stock of the progress of Community Hall & Hospital Building at Suid Dachhan taken up under Resettlement & Rehabilitation Plan of the Hydro-electric Power Project Pakal Dul.
During his visit, he was accompanied by SDM Marwah, Dr Mohsin Raza, CMO Kishtwar Dr Chander Parkash, DYSSO Kharati Lal, Tehsildar Dachhan, SK Rathore, ExEn Mohd Aslam Lone,AEE JPDCL Sudhir Kumar, AEE Jal Shakti besides officials of various departments.
At the outset, ExEn apprised DC Kishtwar about the layout plan of the motorable steel Bridge and the timeline of the PMGSY Road to Dachhan.
The construction work of the motorable Bridge was kickstarted by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar in presence of BDC chairman Dachhan, ExEn PMGSY and others.
DC Kishtwar passed strict directions to the executing agencies for the time-bound completion of this steel bridge. He directed the concerned agencies to mobilize men and resources so that quantifiable progress could be achieved in the said work in the left-out time of this working session.
The DC Kishtwar also walked by foot and inspected the ongoing construction of the PMGSY Road to Dachhan and took stock of various bottlenecks faced by executing agencies.
DC directed the Tehsildar Dachhan to coordinate with ExEN concerned and ensure that all the bottlenecks hampering the progress of the road are removed immediately so that the road is completed in the stipulated time.
During the tour, DC Kishtwar along with concerned officers visited the spot identified for the construction of the community hall under RR plan of HEP Pakal Dul at Dachhan.
The revenue authorities were directed to fast-track the document work and the demarcation work so that the construction work can be started soon besides directing the concerned authorities to explore the land for the construction of the hospital building at Suid to be constructed under the RR plan of Pakal Dul HEP for Dachhan.
Meanwhile, during the interaction with the locals & PRIs of the area, DC Kishtwar listened to the grievances of people, who apprised him of various issues pertaining to the gaps in the local infrastructure and service deliverance.
The local PRIs majorly apprised DC Kishtwar about the health and education service sector scenario in the area which includes the shortage of staff and punctuality of doctors in the area and demanded the resolution of the problems on a priority basis. Besides, they also highlighted the issue of pending road compensation.
After the patient hearing, DC Kishtwar assured them of time-bound redressal of their genuine issues and sought the necessary intervention of the concerned departmental heads.
The Deputy Commissioner directed SDM Marwah to ensure the punctuality of the staff by strengthening the monitoring system in the government offices.
