Complete prerequisites before NMC inspection: GMC Sgr to HODs

Srinagar, Feb 21: Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has directed the Heads of Departments to complete all prerequisites ahead of a possible inspection by the National Medical Commission (NMC), officials said.
The medical college in a communication to all HODs directed that the NMC, New Delhi, has issued a public notice wherein, it is mentioned that the MARB-NMC is about to start the inspection process for the academic year 2024-2025, for various applications (UG/PG).
“As such, all the HODs of GMC Srinagar are directed to make sure that all the prerequisites like Standard Assessment Form (SAF), Declarations Forms of faculty & residents are completed in all manners, which are to be placed before the NMC appointed assessor(s),” GMC Srinagar said in a directive.
The heads of departments have been tasked with nominating a Nodal Officer from their respective departments. The individual will maintain close communication with the NMC Cell of the Academic Section at GMC Srinagar daily. Their primary responsibility will be to scrutinize the SAF & Declarations Forms of their department.
“These nominated Nodal Officers will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing of paperwork and information flow between departments and the Academic Section. By closely liaising with the NMC Cell, they will facilitate smoother operations and contribute to the overall administrative effectiveness of GMC Srinagar,” reads the circular.
