Budgam, Oct 09: National Conference (NC) leader Saif-ud-din Bhat on Wednesday said he is committed to the welfare of the people in the Khansahib constituency following his election victory.
Speaking to reporters here, he expressed gratitude to the residents for their support, which enabled him to secure the assembly seat. “I am dedicated to working for the betterment of the people,” he said, adding that there is an urgent need for development initiatives, particularly in remote areas that require significant attention.
Bhat said the residents of all five constituencies in the Budgam district recognise the National Conference’s readiness to tackle the challenges posed by the absence of an elected government in Jammu & Kashmir. “The overwhelming support I received from the people of Khansahib played a crucial role in my success,” he acknowledged.
The NC leader added, “The party’s manifesto will be implemented at the grassroots level so that the people benefit. Once the government is formed, all pressing issues will be addressed, and essential services will be provided to the residents.”
