Srinagar, Sep 20: The Department of Management Studies, North Campus, University of Kashmir, organised a one-day Business Fest ‘Colour Me Autumn’ Harud 2023 on Wednesday to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and exhibit their entrepreneurial skills.
Director North Campus, Prof Bashir Ahmad Ganai inaugurated the event and congratulated the organising committee for “such a vibrant event” which was attended by Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir Prof Farooq Ahmad Masoodi and Dean Research Prof Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo. The guests addressed the gathering and motivated the audience with their words of wisdom.
Prof Bashir felicitated the guests and the inaugural session was attended by the coordinators of various departments, faculty members and the students of the North campus as well as many adjoining colleges. Dr Ambreen Khursheed Wani, the coordinator, briefed the audience about the event which gave space to a wonderful Rouf performance, Qawali and a singing performance by the famous Kashmiri folk singer Noor Mohammad.
The fest provided an opportunity for the students of the Department of Management Studies and young entrepreneurs to set up their stalls so as to boost their visibility by selling their products. Director, North Campus accompanied by other guests inaugurated the stalls set up by the students and the sponsors of the event. The students of the department showcased their talent by participating in various cultural programmes. The felicitation ceremony was carried out where students were presented certificates and awards were given to the best stalls and best cultural performance of the event.
The organisers, volunteers and sponsors were also felicitated in the valedictory session. Dr Viqar U Nissa, Coordinator of the Department of Management Studies, presented the concluding remarks and Dr Sumaira Gulzar, faculty member of the department presented the vote of thanks.
