CMO Srinagar takes action against Star Hospital

Srinagar, Aug 06: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Srinagar, along with the district task force team on Tuesday sealed Operation Theatre Block of Star Hospital Sanatnagar Bypass due to gross violation of medical protocols and unprofessional conduct.
Spokesperson Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said the action was taken after the hospital administration obstructed routine supervision by the district task force team, misbehaved with staff, and used threatening gestures.
“This unacceptable behavior and the compromised patient safety and warranted immediate action,” he said.
The CMO Srinagar has taken this decisive step to ensure adherence to medical standards, patient safety, and maintain public trust.
Further, the investigations are underway, and appropriate measures will be taken to address these violations.
