Jaipur, Oct 06: Clinical Jammu and Kashmir thrashed Mizoram by a big margin of 146 runs in the ongoing Men’s U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy at Jaipuria Cricket Ground, Jaipur on Sunday.
J&K scored a good total of 280 runs in 48.5 overs. Kamaksh Sharma top scored with 52 runs off 50 balls studded with 8 boundaries while Arihant Sharma contributed brisk 43 off 30 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Salman Ahmad Bakshi (35), Hatim Reyaz (32) and skipper Dhruv Sharma (24) were the other major contributors to the total.
Johan was the most successful bowler for Mizoram, who took 4 important wickets, while Kima, Dwanga and Ahmaa claimed 2 wickets each.
Mizoram, in reply, bundled out for paltry 134 runs, thus losing the match 146 runs.
Benjamin scored quick-fire 41 off 33 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, while Sameula (17) and Valpula (16) were the other notable contributors.
Zaid Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers for J&K, who took 4 wickets by conceding 14 runs in his 8 overs, while Krishang Brahmin bagged 2 wickets by giving away 32 runs in 7.5 overs. Mudasir Abdullah, Shaurya Manhas and Vanshika Khadyal claimed one wicket each.
