Srinagar, Apr 24: A civilian was shot at and injured by terrorists in Marhama area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.
A Police spokesperson said that terrorists fired upon and injured a civilian near his house.
“The injured has been identified as Aqib Dar of ZafarporaMarhama, Bijbehara area of Anantnag”, he said, adding, Dar has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off.”
A senior police officer told Rising Kashmir that Dar is out of danger at hospital and has recieved one bullet in his shoulder.
“Soon after the attack, senior Police officers immediately reached the terror crime spot,” he said.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and a search is underway to trace the terrorists.The police officer said they continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this terror crime. CCTV footage of nearby areas is being checked and further investigation is underway in the case, he said.
