CITU condemns killing of migrant worker in Shopian

Srinagar, Oct 20: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Sunday condemned the killing of a non-local labourer who was shot dead by unidentified terrorists in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Terming the killing as “barbaric”, CITU leader Abdul Rashid Pandit said such incidents must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
He urged the authorities to provide compensation to the victim’s family and provide a safe and secure environment for migrant workers in the region.
