Chotay Taray Foundation illuminates’ abilities on International Day for Persons with Disabilities

Srinagar, Dec 04: In a spectacular commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, the Chotay Taray Foundation (CTF) orchestrated a transformative event at Women’s College, M. A Road, Srinagar. The day unfolded with an array of awe-inspiring performances by children with disabilities, stealing the spotlight and showcasing their extraordinary abilities.
The event’s chief guest, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS Secretary Tourism and Culture, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, graced the occasion alongside distinguished personalities such as Special Guest Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Mohammed Iqbal Lone, Dr. Ruhi Jan Kanth (Principal of Government College of Women, M. A Road, Srinagar), and Dr. Kharulnisa (Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, Srinagar).
The captivating series of performances by children with disabilities, orchestrated in collaboration with the CTF team, left the audience spellbound and emphasized the undeniable talents and capabilities of these remarkable individuals. The event served as a poignant reminder of the pressing need to empower and support those with disabilities.
Guests showered praise on the unwavering determination of the children and their parents, recognizing their dedication in overcoming adversities. Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah hailed the event as a heartwarming celebration of inclusivity and diversity, stressing the imperative of providing equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Arjumand Makhdoomi, the Founder President of Chotay Taray Foundation, shared his vision for a more inclusive society, encapsulating the essence of the day’s proceedings. The event not only showcased the talents of children with disabilities but also served as a catalyst for fostering awareness and understanding, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing pursuit of inclusivity and equal opportunities for all.
