Kargil, July 06: In a significant development, the chargesheet for the first FIR registered under the new criminal laws was presented on Saturday before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kargil. The FIR, numbered 17 and filed under sections 281 and 125a, marks a milestone in the implementation of the updated legal framework.
The accused has confessed to the crime and has been fined Rs 2000 by the court. The swift handling of the case, from registration to disposal, underscores the efficiency of the updated system.
District Police, Kargil, expressed their appreciation for the team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Kargil, acknowledging their prompt and effective action in managing the case.
