Bandipora, Aug 23: The district of Bandipora in North Kashmir became part of the nationwide celebrations as it observed the historic landing of India’s Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission. Around 19,000 students from over 300 schools in the district came together to witness this momentous accomplishment.
As per the details available with Rising Kashmir, approximately 19,000 students from over 300 schools of the district gathered to witness this remarkable feat. The excitement was palpable in the air as the students gathered at their respective schools across Bandipora to catch a glimpse of this historic event.
“For me it was not just a scientific achievement but a moment that kindled dreams of exploring the universe and reaching for the stars, a student from government high school BaghBandipora told Rising Kashmir.
He said that watching Chandrayaan-3 land on the moon was like “witnessing a dream come true”. “It makes me believe that anything is possible with dedication and hard work”, he added. He also said that the Chandrayaan-3 mission has shown us that science is not confined to textbooks but it is about exploring the unknown and pushing boundaries.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed told Rising Kashmir that the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 not only marks a significant milestone in India’s space exploration journey but also serves as an inspiration to the youth of the nation.
He said that its success has ignited a passion for science and space exploration among the young generation and encouraged them to aim high and dream big. Owais said that the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3 will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the students of Bandipora and inspire them to reach for the stars in their own unique ways.
The celebration is not just a local event but a reflection of India’s collective pride in its scientific achievements and the boundless potential of its youth, he added.
