Ramban, Oct 03Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan on Tuesday inaugurated a two-kilometre link road from High School Chachawa to Bhat Mohalla Galli, completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.80 crore
AEE PWD Sub-division Gool, Vimal Kishan Sidha, AE PWD Gool, Madhur Goel, JE PWD, Haider Ali, as well as PRIs and locals were present on the occasion.
The Public Works Department, Ramban constructed the road under the NABARD-RIDIF initiative. The completion of the road project fulfills a long pending demand of the area and will provide smooth transport connectivity benefiting a huge number of people.
The Chairperson addressed the gathering, stating that the government is committed to meeting all genuine aspirations of the people. She encouraged PRIs to bring public demands and issues to the administration’s attention for timely redressal.
She impressed upon the PRIs and locals to formulate developmental and welfare plans, empowering them in grassroots-level development and activities.
