Kulgam, Nov 05: Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Kulgam, Mohd Afzal Parray visited Poniwah village in Kulgam on Tuesday to express solidarity with the families affected by a devastating fire and to oversee the distribution of emergency relief.
During his visit, Chairperson Parray extended his heartfelt condolences to the affected families and assured them of comprehensive support from the administration. He called for immediate compensation and rehabilitation to the victims, particularly considering the challenging weather conditions. Parray urged the administration to expedite the necessary assistance to ensure the welfare and resettlement of the affected families.
Accompanying him was DDC Member Gh Mohi-u-Als. Together, they assessed the damage and discussed the next steps for relief efforts. Chairperson Parray also called on the public to exercise extra caution to prevent similar incidents in the future.
