It includes construction of new stadiums, sports complexes, and training centers to cater to various sports disciplines. Upgrading and modernizing existing sports infrastructure to meet international standards and provide better facilities to athletes and the community. He has assured that the administration will provide modern sports facilities and world-class coaching to help them achieve their goals. Last year a record number of more than 60 lakh children and youth participated in sports activities in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier this year, LG Manoj Sinha inaugurated 94 sports infrastructure projects worth Rs 46.07 crore (88 under CAPEX and 6 under JKIDFC). The projects include stadiums, playfields, lighting projects, cricket competition pitches, synthetic courts and prefab dugouts. As LG Manoj Sinha completes his three years in office, Jammu and Kashmir stands as a shining example of transformation and progress. From hosting international events like the G20 Meeting to revitalizing the tourism sector and empowering local communities, his dynamic leadership has left an indelible mark on the region.
