Budgam, Aug 14: In a proactive move towards enhancing the power infrastructure and ensuring better electricity access for the residents of various villages in Budgam district, the Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan, along with Chief Engineer, Jammu & Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), Hashmat Qazi, undertook a field visit to the village Rathsun today.
The visit was aimed at assessing the existing power infrastructure and exploring possibilities for its augmentation to meet the increasing demands of the local population. Rathsun village, nestled in the picturesque Budgam district, holds great potential for growth, and ensuring a reliable power supply is essential for its development.
During the visit, Chairman DDC and Chief Engineer interacted with the local residents, listening to their concerns and suggestions regarding the power supply. The officials also conducted a thorough inspection of the existing power distribution network, identifying areas that require upgrading and modernization.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Engineer stated, “Our primary objective is to ensure uninterrupted power supply to every household in all the villages of Budgam district. We are committed to addressing the challenges faced by the residents and implementing solutions that will enhance the overall quality of life in this community”.
