Ganderbal, Mar 10: The Central Bureau of Communication Srinagar, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a day-long seminar focusing on public welfare schemes in the rural development department and a career counselling session for students in Ganderbal district.
Held as part of the ongoing five-day exhibition at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, the seminar aimed to educate participants about various center and state sector schemes being implemented in the rural development sector, with a particular focus on initiatives in the Ganderbal district.
Resource persons from the Rural Development Department provided detailed insights into the schemes, sharing success stories and outlining targets for complete and implementation of various schemes.
Colonel Anshul Sharma, Director of the Army Recruitment Office Srinagar, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Agnipath Scheme, highlighting career opportunities within the defense services. Additionally, representatives from Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and Govt College of Physical Education Ganderbal shed light on the functions and responsibilities of their institutions.
Director CBC J&K Ghulam Abbas highlighted the role of the Central Bureau of Communication in propagating different welfare initiatives of the government through the integrated communication and outreach programmes.
An open quiz was also organised for the participants, with winners receiving trophies and commendation certificates.
Cultural troupes affiliated with CBC Srinagar captivated the audience with vibrant performances on various themes, including “Viksit Bharat,” “Agnipath,” “Mission Life,” and “Swachta.”
Field Publicity Officer CBC Srinagar Naseer Ahmad Rather informed that tomorrow on the fourth day of the exhibition, the resource persons from education department will deliver lectures and presentations on New Education Policy, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat abhiyaan, and the implementation of various schemes in the education sector.
