Case registered against two for throwing garbage on roadside in Budgam

Budgam, Jan 16: The authorities in Budgam district on Tuesday said that a case had been registered against two residents for throwing garbage and littering on the roadside in Ichgam village of Budgam district.
An official from the district administration said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC in the police station Budgam against these two persons.
“They were challaned for throwing garbage on the road, creating conditions for infectious diseases,” an official said.
He said that panchayat bodies are continuously working for the cleanliness of the villages, but irresponsible residents are littering and dumping garbage on the roads, which has now initiated a legal action.
