Pulwama, March 03: A candlelight march was held in Padgampora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening in memory of a martyred soldier Sepoy Pawan Kumar.
Scores of people participated in the march that was carried out through the streets of the village. They were chanting slogans “Hindustan Zindabad and Pawan Kumar Amar Rahe”.
Sepoy Pawan Kumar of 55 Rashtriya Rifles was martyred in an encounter that took place in the Padgampora area of Pulwama last week. Two terrorists, Aqib Mushtaq Bhat and Aijaz Ahmad Bhat were killed in the encounter.
Police said they were involved in the recent killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma at Achan village of Pulwama.
