Jammu, Mar 28: Former councillor Satish Sharma led a candle march in Gangyal near the Durga temple here to pay tribute to the brave J&K Police personnel who lost their lives in a recent terrorist attack.
During the candlelight vigil, heartfelt tributes were paid to the martyrs, and the emotions of anger and frustration ran high among the attendees. Many expressed their sentiment that it was time to take decisive action against Pakistan, urging the Indian government to respond robustly to the persistent threat posed by terrorism.
“Now is the time to attack Pakistan and teach them a tough lesson,” one resident said.
Sharma said Pakistan should not test India’s patience. “The Indian Army is capable enough to hoist the tricolour in every district of Pakistan within just one or two days. It can eradicate Pakistan from the world map forever,” he asserted.
He urged the Central government to convene an all-party meeting to formulate a strong response to the ongoing threat of terrorism. “For how long will our soldiers continue to get martyred? If Pakistan only understands the language of bullets, then we must reply in kind,” he said.
