Burglary cases solved in Baramulla, two arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that it has solved two burglary cases by arresting two accused in Kreeri and Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

 

A Police spokesperson said that On 24/03/2023, Police Station Kreeri received a complaint from one Bashir Ahmad Wani S/O Gh Hassan Wani resident of Kreeri Baramulla stating therein that during Friday prayers, some unknown burglars have entered his shop and stole cash of about Rs.30,000/-.

 

“To this effect Police Station Kreeri registered Case FIR number 25/2023 under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.”

 

The spokesperson said that during the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Syed Zaffar Shah S/O Syed Muzaffar Shah R/O Yakhmanpora Pattan was identified and was called for questioning. After thorough interrogation he confessed that he has committed theft and, upon his disclosure, all stolen cash was recovered from his possession and he was taken into custody immediately.

 

Meanwhile, On 23rd December, 2022 Police Post Palhallan received a complaint from one Bashir Ahmad Yatoo S/O Gh Mohd Yatoo resident of Yadipora Pattan stating therein that during intervening nights of 22nd & 23rd December-2022, some unknown burglars broke open the lock of his shop and stole tea bags, cigarette boxes etc.

 

“To this effect Police Station Pattan registered Case FIR number 340/2022 under relevant sections of law and investigation was started”, he said.

 

“During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Faizan Ahmad Gojri @ Pita S/O Mohd Ramzan Gojri R/O Gojri Mohalla Palhallan was identified and was called for questioning. After thorough interrogation he confessed that he has committed theft and, upon his disclosure, all stolen property was recovered from his possession and he was taken into custody immediately.
