Burglary case solved in Baramulla’s Pattan, two arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that it has solved burglary case by arresting two persons and recovered stolen property worth lakhs in Mirgund Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

 

A Police spokesperson said, “On 14 March, 2023, Police Post Mirgund received a complaint from one Harjeet Singh Project Manager A-Z Services stating therein that during intervening nights of 13 & 14 March-2023, some unknown burglars broke open the lock of the storeroom and stole Hightension transmission line & Red material 33000 KV element.To this effect Police Station Pattan registered Case FIR under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.”

 

“During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Fida Hussain Khanday S/O Gh Mohammad Khanday R/O Yekhmanpora was identified and was called for questioning. After thorough interrogation he confessed that he alongwith two accomplices namely Shahin Ahmed Taknoo S/O Gh Ahmad Taknoo R/O Zaalpora Sumbal and Aijaz Ahmad Malla S/O Gh Mohammad Malla R/O Yekhmanpora committed theft”, he said.    

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      “Out of three accused two were arrested and third accused namely Aijaz Ahmad Malla S/O Gh Mohammad Malla R/O Yekhmanpora is still at large, and efforts are on to nab him.”

                                                                                                  “Upon their disclosure, stolen material worth lacs was recovered also the vehicle Load Carrier bearing registration number JK15B-4178 which was used for theft was seized and the accused were taken into custody immediately”, he said.
