Srinagar, Nov 13: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari led a delegation on Monday to visit the residence of Shabir Reshi, a prominent party member and District Development Council (DDC) representative for Srinagar’s Harwan. The purpose of the visit was to offer condolences on the demise of his father Haji Wali Mohammad Reshi.
During the condolence visit to the Harwan residence of Reshi, the Apni Party President was accompanied by the Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, senior leader Junaid Azim Mattu, party’s District President Ganderbal Javaid Mir, Provincial President Youth Wing Khalid Rathore, Shoiab Dar, Coordinator Dargah constituency Abdul Hameed, and others, a press release issued here said.
The party leaders extended their condolences to Shabir Reshi and other members of the bereaved family.
While expressing his sympathies to the bereaved, Altaf Bukhari said that the Apni party stands in solidarity with this family in this hour of grief, and he prayed, “May Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and shower His choicest blessings on his grave. May Almighty give the bereaved family members strength to bear the pain of this irreparable loss.”
Meanwhile, Altaf Bukhari condoled the demise of J&K President of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Som Raj Majotra whereas the party’s Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh along with other leaders visited the residence of the Dalit leader in Kathua.
The Apni Party leaders expressed their grief and sorrow over the demise of the prominent political figure, Som Raj Majotra.
To express his grief over the demise, the Apni Party President spoke to the bereaved family members on the phone and expressed his sympathy with them on the passing away of Som Raj Majotra.
Meanwhile, Manjit Singh remembered the contribution of Som Raj Majotra who worked for the neglected class of society irrespective of their religious or regional identity.
He said the work and contribution of the Dalit politician would be remembered in the society.
