Budgam, Oct 10: District Budgam marked Mental Health Day with a series of events, emphasizing the crucial theme “Prioritise Mental Health at Workplace”. The initiative aimed to promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive work environment.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, Dr. Mohammad Ayoub Fateh Khan, was the chief guest at the main event held at Boys High School, Pallar Budgam. The programme was jointly organized by the Mental Health Unit, District Hospital Budgam, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Unit, Budgam, and District Programme Coordinator (DPC) Budgam.
Dr. Mohammad Ayoub Fateh Khan delivered a keynote address on “Prioritising Mental Health at Workplace”, highlighting its significance for overall well-being, managing work-related stress, building resilience, and encouraging open conversations about mental health.
The event featured panel discussions and interactive sessions involving experts from mental health, psychology, and human resources, with active participation from students, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
Similar functions were organized at all block headquarters, featuring Block Medical Officers (BMOs) and technical experts leading discussions on mental health, stress management, and workplace well-being, along with interactive sessions and Q&A forums.
The objectives of the event were to raise awareness about mental health importance, promote workplace well-being strategies, reduce stigma around mental health discussions, and encourage support networks.
