Budgam, Jan 07: The Budgam administration said various projects that have been languishing for years in the district will be completed in three months.
An official from the district administration told Rising Kashmir that there are various languishing projects in the district that have not been completed for the last many years and are coming under the category of “languishing projects”.
All these projects will be completed this year as the government has already approved the balance cost for them, he said.
Giving details, the official said that presently there are 125 languishing projects in the district, out of which 77 projects have been completed and 47 are under construction. “The 31 languishing projects will be completed up to the month of March 2023 as per the given deadline by the district administration,” the official said.
He said the government has provided an estimated cost of Rs 483.384 crore under the Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Financial Corporation (JKIDFC) for the construction of various projects across the district. The government has also approved a balance cost of Rs 303.248 crore for these projects.
The central Kashmir’s Budgam district has several languishing projects in various sectors including the health department, higher education, horticulture planning and marketing, housing and urban development, industries and commerce, irrigation, power development department, PHE, R&B, JKPCC, education, social welfare, technical educational, youth services and sports. These constitute 125 projects across the district.
