JAMMU, Nov 13: Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu Frontier, DK Boora, affirmed on Wednesday that security forces are fully prepared to prevent any infiltration attempts along the border.
Speaking after flagging off a 10-day ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour for students organized by the BSF’s 54th battalion, IG Boora emphasized the robust security measures in place.
“Our focus is to ensure zero infiltration,” he stated. “It doesn’t matter whether there are 10 or 20 terrorists; our priority is that no one crosses the border.” He assured that even if infiltration occurs, forces are equipped to neutralize the threat before it reaches the hinterland.
IG Boora, joined by BSF Additional Director General of Western Command, Satish S Khandare, was visiting the border district of Rajouri. He highlighted that Pakistan continues to attempt to push terrorists across the border, but reassured the public of a strong protection grid supported by modern weapons and ample manpower. “Our neighboring country always tries to push terrorists, but our security setup is resilient and well-coordinated,” he said.
Referring to recent successful operations, Boora cited encounters in the Akhnoor Sector, where three terrorists were killed, and Kathua, where two more were eliminated. He praised the coordinated efforts of security forces and intelligence agencies in fighting terrorism. “These incidents are proof that our forces are effectively working together to counter and wipe out terrorism,” he concluded.
