Srinagar, Mar 14: In order to benefit the general investors of Srinagar, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday organized Regional Investor Seminar for Awareness (RISA) jointly with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and J&K Bank here at the Bank’s corporate headquarters. Officials from SEBI, the BSE, Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) and the Bank attended the seminar.
Speaking at the event, Manager (SEBI) Kunal Kishore explained the role of SEBI in functioning of Securities Market while Senior Manager (BSE) Jasdeep Singh explained about Savings & Investments and working of Securities Market. On the occasion, Senior Manager (CDSL) Mukesh Chauhan educated the participants about depository services besides importance of Demat accounts.
The program was well received with a good number of participants in attendance and concluded with Question & Answer session wherein SEBI, CDSL and BSE officials answered the queries of the participants.
Two more such seminars will be conducted in Baramulla and Kupwara on Friday and Saturday respectively.
