Brilliant Babli guides Durga CC to big win, faces Kotarani Club in finals

Jammu, Mar 06: Magnificent display with the willow by Babli and Paras Safaya helped Mata Durga Cricket Club and Tigers Cricket Club to thrash their rivals in women’s and kids tournaments respectively as part of ‘Haerath Milan’ Cup, being organised by the Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation (LSEHO) at MA Stadium here.
Mata Durga Cricket Club will take on Kotarani Cricket Club in the finals of the women’s event at the same venue tomorrow, while the finalists in the kids event will be decided late night today.
Earlier, in the kids event, Tigers Cricket Club thrashed TRT Nagrota by a big margin of 56 runs.
Batting first Tigers Club scored a big total of 139 runs in 10 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process.
Paras Safaya played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 74 runs off 33 balls, studded with 4 fours and 7 sixes, while Hemansh Katoch contributed brisk 39 runs off 16 balls with one four and 5 sixes.
In reply, TRT Nagrota bundled out for 83 runs in 7.3 overs, thus lost the match by 56 runs. Shivam Bhat top scored with 16 runs.
Paras Safaya took 3 wickets, while Mayank Bhan and Rohan claimed 2 wickets each for Tigers Club.
For his all-round show Paras Safaya was adjudged as the man of the match.
In the women’s section, Mata Durga Cricket Club drubbed Laleshwari Cricket Club by 10 wickets.
Batting first, Laleshwari Cricket Club scored 58 runs in 10 overs. Urmilla top scored with 16 runs off 19 balls with 3 boundaries.
For Mata Durga CC, Nirvi Jotshi, Arzoo Wakhloo and Komal Tickoo claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Mata Durga Cricket Club chased the target easily in 5.1 overs, without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets.
Babli top scored with unbeaten 42 runs off 17 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, while Nirvi Jotshi contributed unbeaten 11 runs off 14 balls. 
Babli was declared as the player of the match for her brilliant knock.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Organising Committee including Anil Bhat, Vinay Koul, Ashish Kachroo, Ankur Bagati and Deepak Raina.
