Bandipora, Aug 12: In a remarkable achievement, District Bandipora has been honoured with the prestigious award for the “Best Performance in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)” by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of J&K, during a felicitation ceremony held earlier today at Srinagar titled as AWAS Mega Mahotsav.
This recognition underscores the commitment of the district towards ensuring affordable housing for all and marks a significant milestone in the journey towards achieving the goals of the PMAY initiative.
The award was received on behalf of the District Administration by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) and Assistant Commissioner, Panchayat, Bandipora. The unwavering dedication, strategic planning, and meticulous execution of Assistant Commissioner Development Bandipora, have played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the PMAY in the district. This award not only acknowledges their exceptional efforts but also serves as an inspiration for others to follow suit in the pursuit of socio-economic development.
On this momentous occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of RDD, acknowledging their commitment and perseverance. I commend the hard work of every individual involved in this initiative, from the grassroots level to the highest echelons of the administration. The DC also expressed his gratitude towards the residents of Bandipora for their cooperation and participation, as well as the PRIs(DDCs, BDCs, Sarpanches and Panches) that have supported the PMAY implementation in the district.
