Jammu, March 07: JKBOSE has contested news regarding shortage of prescribed text books in government schools, which have opened today after a long winter break.
In a statement issued here today, the Board has clarified that nearly 72% books have been already received and distributed among the zonal education heads across the Kashmir Valley.
“Despite inclement weather over the last week, the Board has succeeded in the distribution of books 13.46 lakhs, whereas the remaining books numbering around 5.50 lakhs are in the transit, which will take another 4 to 5 days to reach the end- destination in Kashmir valley and winter zones of Jammu division,” reads the statement.
