Srinagar, July 28: Recalling his visit to Bhaderwah district in 2017 during the filming of a movie, Bollywood actor Vivek Anand Mishra on Friday expressed his deep fascination with the mesmerizing beauty of the Jammu & Kashmir and called upon the film industry to utilise the natural beauty of the valley for shoots.

Addressing a press conference here to promote his upcoming film ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar’, Mishra urged the film industry to return to Kashmir Valley and explore its stunning locations.

Expressing his admiration for the mountains and the breathtaking landscapes of the valley, he said, “Once I landed in Srinagar yesterday, I was completely spellbound by the beauty of the place. Bollywood filmmakers should definitely consider coming back to Kashmir and utilizing its natural beauty to shoot their films.”

Vivek further said that shooting in Kashmir would be a dream come true as the authenticity of the locations and the absence of the need for artificial sets further add to the charm of filming in the valley, making it an ideal destination for filmmakers.

Emphasizing the potential of increased film activity in Kashmir to bring significant benefits to the valley, Mishra said he believed that more films shot in Kashmir would not only boost tourism but also generate employment opportunities for the local population.

His co-star, Kanchan Agnihotri hailed the talent of Kashmiri artists. She has worked with artists like Waqar Khan and Kabul Bukhari. “Both are wonderful human beings and talented artists,” she expressed.

Having shot a few songs in the valley, Kanchan said she felt fortunate to have experienced the beauty of Kashmir and looked forward to more Bollywood films being shot in the valley.

Adding to the positive developments, Bollywood actor Lalit Parimoo, known for his role in the film ‘Haider’, announced a workshop for Kashmiri students interested in acting. The workshop, scheduled from August 21 to 27 at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, aims to nurture raw talent and guide aspiring actors on entering the film industry, he informed.

Kashmiri musician Kabul Bukhari, who composed and sang the songs and ghazals for the film ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar’, expressed his enthusiasm for promoting a Bollywood movie shot in Jammu & Kashmir.

The film is a musical love story intertwined with family drama and is set to release on August 4 in the multiplexes of Srinagar and Jammu.

Directed by Dhiraj Mishra and Raja Randeep Giri, the movie features actors Anita Raj, Zarina Wahab, Prashant Rai, Sarwar Mir, Vaani Dogra, Megha Joshi, Mahima Gupta, Sachin Bhandari, Ismile Choudhary, and Avinash Kumar, among others.
