Jammu, Jan 4- The All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge J&K affairs Rajni Patil Wednesday said that the final phase of Bharat Jodo Yatra BJY) in J&K will be a major event and most successful.
After reviewing the arrangements for the upcoming Yatra, Patel said that the enthusiasm amongst the workers and the general Public indicates that the phase of Yatra în JK would be historical and most successful.
Earlier she took stock of the arrangements of all sorts and different committees for purpose at Afsar Guest House Shakti Nagar Jammu coordinated by General Secretary PCC Manmohan Singh and attended by all senior leaders, former minister/Ex-Legislators.and others.
Patel expressed satisfaction over the preparations over arrangements being made so far and asked leaders and workers țo coordinate all arrangements and mobilisation for the participation.
The congress leader also expressed shock over the Dhangri killings and termed it most unfortunate. She shared the grief and concern of the people and demanded tightening of security network to protect innocents especially minorities.
Two minutes silence was observed in the meeting to pray for peace to the departed souls of martyrs and express solidarity with the families of Dangri victims.
Bharat Singh Solanki, on the occasion, explained the impact of Bharat Jodo Yatra and stated that ‘Hath Se Hath’ campaign is being launched in the country from 26th Jan especially in the districts which remained untouched in the BJY.
President JKPCC Vikar Rasool Wani said that a huge response await the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and it will be very successful in Jammu and Kashmir. “Several top leaders from different shades would be joining and are welcome to join to send a significant message across,” he added.
Wani asked party leaders to go for massive mobilisation and better coordination în coming days for proper arrangements for all.
Congress leader Raman Bhalla briefed the leaders about the preparations so far and said that the people are eager to express their feelings and sufferings to Rahul Gandhi.
Coordinator for the Yatra GA Mir referred to the various aspects of the Yatra and the areas of concentration. He said three major events like Lakhanpur, Jammu and Srinagar need special focus.
Member CWC Tariq Hameed Karra also stressed upon the need to have total coordination for the mega event of great Historical importance and asked all to pool their efforts.
