Jammu, Jan 17: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla Tuesday convened a series of public meetings for the preparation of upcoming Bharat jodo Yatra at Rajpura in District Samba .
Speaking on the occasion Bhalla said that Bharat Jodo Yatra all like-minded people who don’t believe in the “divisive politics of the BJP” would join the march in JK. He said people of India are seeing the real face of Rahul Gandhi during the march which is meant to unite India against hate and divisive politics.
He said the Yatra spearheaded by Gandhi was gaining momentum with each passing day, indicating that the people of India want secular ethics intact within the country. The yatra is aimed to send a clear and loud message to divisive forces who caused massive damage to the country and its constitution,” he said.
Bhalla further said that present BJP government is direction less and has only given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion. He said J&K was passing through the “worst ever misrule”. There is total policy paralysis as the government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people and address the problems of farmers, youths, employees, casual labourers and traders, he added.
“Every section of the society is suffering as their grievances are not addressed. They are only concerned about the welfare of their families. Large scale favouritism, nepotism and corruption prevails in J&K, he alleged. He said BJP has played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. He cautioned the people about the designs of communal and divisive forces in the J&K which were constantly on a lookout for opportunities to strike and create hatred.
Criticizing the incumbent government, Bhalla said the present situation is the outcome of the government’s inefficiency to deal with the situation. If the government was really serious about welfare of people it should have taken on board all the political parties of J&K and should have listened to their concerns restoring statehood and conducting early elections,” he said.
The Congress leader said that the BJP Government has utterly proved failure on all fronts including governance and deliverance. He expressed serious concern over the betrayal of BJP with people of Jammu and its compromise on equal share in development and employment.
