Senior BJP leader and leader of Opposition Sunil Dharma on Wednesday visited the home of slain ex-army man Manzoor Ahmed Wagay in Kulgam to offer condolences to the bereaved family.

Wagay was killed in a firing incident, which also left his wife and daughter injured.

Accompanied by BJP leaders Ravinder Raina and Sat Sharma, Sharma expressed solidarity with the grieving family and assured them of all possible support.

“We will help his family in every possible way,” he said while speaking to reporters.

Sharma later visited the hospital to enquire about the condition of the women injured in the incident. He strongly criticized the National Conference (NC), blaming the party for disturbances in Kashmir since 1931. “NC has been responsible for creating disturbance right from 1931 to the Pandit exodus and even till today,” he remarked.
