Jammu, Apr 09: In a fervent display of political prowess, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a full-scale mobilisation effort, marshalling its cadre to ensure a resounding turnout for an upcoming rally by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The rally, slated to take place tomorrow, will mark Adityanath’s inaugural election event in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
“The people from all the Assembly constituencies falling in Samba and Kathua districts would be attending Yogi Adityanath’s rally at Kathua,” disclosed a senior BJP leader, underscoring the significance of the event.
Party functionaries at every level, from the grassroots mandal to the district echelons, have been entrusted with the responsibility of rallying supporters to make the event truly historic.
In anticipation of the massive turnout, the BJP has coordinated a comprehensive transportation plan, securing buses, matadors, and vehicles to ferry attendees from various locales to the Sports Stadium in Kathua, the chosen venue for the rally.
Yogi Adityanath, renowned for his fiery rhetoric and leadership of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in India, enjoys Z+ security. As the star campaigner for the BJP, his presence is expected to galvanize support in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.
Following Adityanath’s rally, attention will shift to Udhampur, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address a mega election gathering at Modi Stadium on the 12th of this month. The President of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP, Ravinder Raina, has already forecasted a historic turnout of around 2 lakh attendees for Modi’s rally, underscoring the significance of the event.
The parliamentary elections in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, encompassing all five Lok Sabha seats, will unfold in five phases. Beginning on April 19th with the Kathua-Udhampur constituency, subsequent phases will c+over the Jammu-Reasi seat on April 26th, the newly created Rajouri-Anantnag seat on May 7th, the Srinagar seat on May 13th, and culminating with the Baramulla seat on May 26th, marking the completion of the electoral process in the Kashmir region.
