Srinagar, Sep 03: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also the party’s in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday promised to establish industrial clusters in Jammu & Kashmir to provide skilled youth with new opportunities for entrepreneurship.
Addressing a public gathering in support of the BJP candidate for the upcoming assembly elections, Chugh said youth must pursue various professions, including law, medicine and engineering. “The time of stones and AK-47s is over,” he said. “Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a new era for J&K, where prosperity and development will grow by leaps and bounds.”
The BJP leader highlighted PM Modi’s initiatives, including providing food grains to every poor family, promising shelter for everyone and ensuring adequate health facilities for the underprivileged.
Urging the people to vote for the BJP, Chugh criticised the Abdullah and Mufti families, accusing them of looting the people and their resources to fill their coffers for over 70 years. “These political families, along with the Gandhis, had deliberately made J&K a hub of terrorism by covertly collaborating with Pakistan’s ISI,” he alleged.
However, Chugh said that J&K has now transformed into the tourism capital of India, with new prosperity and jobs in tourism-related sectors. He said the BJP is committed to development, good governance and empowering the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
“The BJP is dedicated to ensuring the progress and welfare of regions like Bhadarwah in district Doda. Your support will strengthen our resolve,” Chugh said.
