Jammu, July 06: Bharatiya Janata Party J&K President Ravinder Raina on Saturday expressed confidence that the party will win the assembly elections in J&K and that the next chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir would be from the BJP.
Addressing party workers during the State Executive Meeting at Akhnoor, Raina urged the BJP workers to work hard, reach out to the people and make sure that the BJP forms the next government in J&K with its first ever chief minister here.
He said, “We have to take a pledge before leaving this meeting that we will work with a goal to achieve a majority in the next assembly elections and our pledge is to form the next government on our own in J&K and have a BJP chief minister.”
The BJP J&K Chief also accused the Congress and the National Conference (NC) of exploiting different sections of people for vote bank politics.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Jitendra Singh, National General Secretary in charge of J&K, Tarun Chugh, and other prominent leaders of the BJP, including former deputy chief ministers Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta.
Meanwhile, Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister, Kavinder Gupta on Saturday said that the party’s National President J P Nadda’s two-day Jammu visit will boost the morale of the workers besides instilling the much-needed synergy among the cadre ahead of assembly polls.
Gupta was addressing the media persons after receiving party chief Nadda here. Dr Nirmal Singh, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister was also present.
Kavinder said that Nadda’s visit to Jammu has significant implications for local leadership. “This endeavour will serve to galvanise party cadres, boost morale and provide strategic direction. His presence underscores the party’s commitment to strengthening its base in the region and addressing local concerns,” he said.
The former deputy CM added, “By engaging directly with local leaders and grassroots activists, the party chief’s visit is surely going to enhance organizational efficiency, ensuring better preparation and coordination for the upcoming elections. This direct interaction reinforces the party’s electoral strategy and can lead to a more focused and dynamic campaign.”
A senior party functionary said the BJP National President’s ongoing Jammu visit “has given a clear message to the party workers not to leave any stone unturned to ensure that the party comes to power singlehandedly in the Union Territory securing a resounding mandate”.
It is pertinent to mention that Nadda is in Jammu to assess the party’s functioning, discuss strategies for the upcoming assembly elections, and set into motion the plans which the party has conceived ahead of the crucial political contest.
