Jammu, Feb 21: Drawing confidence from the mammoth turnout in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Jammu on Tuesday, the President of J&K BJP, Ravinder Raina, on Wednesday exuded confidence that the party will win all the six Lok Sabha seats of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“The people from all parts of J&K like Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch, Ladakh, Kathua, Samba, Kashmir and other areas turned out in the PM’s rally in large numbers which is a testimony that people want to listen to PM Modi. Therefore, we are confident of winning all 5 Lok Sabha seats of J&K and one seat of Ladakh,” Raina said while addressing a press conference here at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Raina said that ground-level preparations are going on to contest the elections in all five Lok Sabha constituencies of J&K and one of Ladakh. He said BJP workers have been mobilized and are reaching out to each and every household of the two union territories.
The people of J&K are grateful to PM Modi for his liberal allocation of funds to develop the region, Raina said, adding that the enthusiastic participation by lakhs of people turned the massive rally into a historical one in the UT.
The BJP leader also thanked Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the people of Jammu & Kashmir for allocating the development projects, inauguration, and their public dedication with massive funding to the tune of 32000 crore rupees.
J&K is touching new heights in development, and peace is being established here, he said, adding that for all this, the people of UT are indebted to PM Modi.
“PM Modi has given a new pace to the development in J&K. Rail network, ring roads, road network, health infrastructure, water, electricity, and help of needy and downtrodden have led to the attraction of a massive crowd in the rally by PM Modi,” he said.
Replying to questions by media persons, Raina said the doors of the BJP are open for anyone who wishes to join the party and serve the people under the leadership of PM Modi. He thanked the leaders of various opposition parties including National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and former deputy chief minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig for praising PM Modi.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, BJP General Secretary and Dr Pardeep Mahotra, BJP Media Incharge, were also present during the press conference.
