Srinagar, Feb 04: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir has raised serious concerns over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s repeated mentions of China and President Xi Jinping in the parliamentary debate.
BJP leader Ashok Bhat in a statement said Rahul’s preoccupation with China instead of addressing pressing issues like India’s development, security and governance, indicates a misplaced priority.
“Rahul’s actions, particularly his interactions with Chinese officials, raise questions about his allegiance to India’s interests. His recent statements in Parliament demonstrate a disturbing trend, where he prioritises China over India’s concerns,” he said.
Bhat added, “We find it ironic that the leader of a party that has historically maintained a weak stance on China now attempts to lecture the government on national security. The Narendra Modi-led BJP government has consistently demonstrated strength against external threats, shielding India’s borders and sovereignty.”
