Srinagar, July 07: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted a successful door-to-door campaign in the Center Shaltang Constituency of Srinagar, highlighting various government schemes.
Prominent youth leader and BJP’s Media Incharge Manzoor Bhat along with Karyakartas actively participated in the campaign aimed aiming at connecting with local residents and promoting awareness about various government schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party said in a statement issued here.
“During the campaign, stickers were affixed on doors from Polling No. 31 to 37, symbolizing the BJP’s commitment to fostering positive change and development within the community. The people of Center Sheltang Bemana Constituency warmly embraced the campaign and expressed their support for the BJP’s initiatives,” the party said.
Manzoor Bhat said one of the primary objectives of the campaign was to raise awareness about the PM-KISAN Yojana, a scheme designed to provide direct financial assistance to eligible farmers. Through this initiative, farmers receive an annual financial aid of Rs 6,000 which is distributed in three equal installments, he said, adding that with over 120 million farmers benefitting from this scheme across the nation, it has proven instrumental in boosting their income and enhancing their quality of life.
The BJP leaders also highlighted other significant government programs such as the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme, Ujala Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. These schemes have been instrumental in providing healthcare, energy efficiency, pension benefits, and insurance coverage to millions of individuals across the country, the statement said.
“The BJP leaders were thrilled by the overwhelming response received from the locals, who not only appreciated their efforts but also actively participated in the campaign. The community members joined the BJP leaders shoulder to shoulder, emphasizing their shared commitment to the progress and development of the Center Sheltang Bemana Constituency,” the party said.  “The door-to-door campaign successfully served its purpose of engaging with the local residents and spreading awareness about various government schemes that have significantly improved the lives of millions of Indians. The BJP remains steadfast in its dedication to serving the people and fostering a prosperous future for all.”
Mohd Hanief Bhat, Adv Syed Shujat Rizvi, Gulam Mohidin Baba, Dr Ashok Koul, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Maqbool Ahmad, Riyaz Ahmed Ganie, Mr Riyaz Ahmed Bhat and others were present in the campaign.
