• Our aim is to strengthen Bharat Mata, BJP seeks only to empower themselves
• All 28 BJP MLAs are ‘Jaichands’ of Jammu

Srinagar, Nov 07: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary criticised the BJP on Thursday, accusing the party of not fulfilling the expectations of the people of Jammu.
Speaking to reporters after the assembly session, Choudhary claimed that the BJP’s policies have led to a lack of development and have neglected the welfare of Jammu people. He also pointed to the absence of a strong opposition from the National Conference (NC) as a factor contributing to BJP’s success in the region.
“It was their luck that NC did not field candidates, and the elections were fought by alliance candidates. If our leadership had directed us to contest in Jammu, I am confident that the JKNC would have won the maximum seats.”
Choudhary also took aim at the BJP for its record in Jammu. “I have defeated the biggest so-called leader in Nowshera. The BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu over the past 10 years,” he said. “They have looted the resources of Jammu and Kashmir, snatched the livelihood of locals, and given plots to outsiders in industrial lands. They have grabbed money under the name of the smart city, and set up toll plazas everywhere, which goes against the will of the people.”
Choudhary further said that he has defeated the biggest so-called leader in Nowshera, and I want to remind BJP of what they have done in Jammu over the past 10 years. They have betrayed the people of Jammu, he said.
“They have looted the resources of Jammu and Kashmir. They have snatched the livelihood of locals and given plots to outsiders in Industrial lands. They grabbed the money under the name of smart city,” Deputy CM said, adding that they have set up toll plazas everywhere which is against the will of people.
He said BJP and its MLAs are prioritizing personal gain over national interest.
“We are the ones working to strengthen Bharat Mata, while they (BJP) only seek to strengthen themselves. Our party is focused on the welfare of the people, advocating for industries, tourism, and education,” he said.
Deputy CM further said that all 28 MLAs of BJP are the real ‘Jaychands’ of Jammu region and not him.
About the chaos, the Deputy CM said they want the house to run smoothly but BJP is continuously disrupting the proceedings. They should remember that when special status was abrogated, and was signed by a single person. Now the entire house has passed this resolution, it is the voice of the J & K Assembly majority, he said.
The Deputy CM further said that many recruitment scandals surfaced in J&K over the past several years, and no one was punished. BJP remained salient always and tried to gain power.
“I must congratulate Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah for defeating BJP after the gap of several years and bringing them on roads. They even did not stage a protest against the terrorist killing, scams, transport issues, or announce the Jammu shutdown call,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary said on the name of 370, BJP is running their shops. Big projects are being given to outsider’s contractors and our youth are jobless, he said.
“They will never speak about the poor and they will speak on behalf of rich people. They have won elections in the name of PM Modi, when they will win elections they will know Surinder Choudhary,” he said.
