Jammu, Jan 16: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a lane and drain at Lower Rangoora via Railway Pull in Sidhra, Ward No. 71, under the Jammu Municipal Corporation’s development plan for 2024-25. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore, is aimed at improving the civic infrastructure in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Sethi emphasised the BJP’s commitment to holistic urban development and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for transforming cities through sustainable infrastructure projects. He highlighted how PM Modi’s leadership has ushered in a new era of progress, with enhanced civic amenities, better roads, drainage systems, and public services in Jammu and across the nation.
“This project is a testament to our commitment to providing better living conditions to the people of Jammu. Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is witnessing unparalleled growth, and Jammu is no exception. We are dedicated to ensuring that every ward gets its due share of development, and today’s initiative is a step in that direction,” he said.
Yudhvir assured the residents that Jammu East constituency would continue to receive infrastructural upgrades, addressing long-standing issues related to drainage, sanitation, and road connectivity. The BJP leader reiterated his resolve to work for the welfare of the people and urged locals to actively participate in the ‘Viksit Bharat’ mission led by the Modi government.
Locals and party workers extended their gratitude to Yudhvir Sethi for initiating the much-needed development work and expressed confidence in the BJP’s governance model. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from municipal officials, BJP karyakartas, and prominent community members, who lauded the MLA’s proactive approach in addressing public grievances.
