Budgam, June 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said it organized a “successful” welfare scheme beneficiaries meeting in central Kashmir’s Budgam district which was aimed to “gather insights” from the beneficiaries of various government schemes and address any challenges they might be facing.
The meeting, as per a party statement issued here, focused on discussing key schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, and other welfare programs. “According to the official data, an impressive 5 lakh beneficiaries have obtained the golden card under the Ayushman Bharat program in the Budgam district,” the party said.
As the chief guest, MoS & Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi graced the occasion and interacted with the beneficiaries. She took a keen interest in understanding their experiences and addressing any issues they might have encountered while availing the benefits of various government schemes.
The beneficiaries’ meeting in Budgam served as a crucial platform for the J&K BJP to gain valuable insights into the ground-level implementation of welfare programs, the statement said, adding that the feedback and suggestions provided by the beneficiaries will be instrumental in further enhancing the effectiveness and reach of these initiatives.
Senior leader Dr Ali Mohammad Mir complimented the government officials for the way they took these welfare schemes to the beneficiaries who benefited from them. “They can be the most important messengers of Prime Minister Modi’s people-centric initiatives and programs as they are directly in touch with the grassroots people,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Incharge ‘Labharti’ campaign program Manzoor Bhat said a dedicated ‘Labharti’ campaign would be organized in each Lok Sabha seat. “Our conventions are not just for exhibiting our work but to reach out to the people across the union territory as most of the families in the UT have benefited from our welfare schemes launched by the Modi government in the last nine years,” he said.
