JAMMU, Aug 04: The BJP is intensifying its preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. A key step in this direction was the formation of the ‘Election Manifesto Committee,’ which met today at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting, chaired by Union Minister G. Krishna Reddy, who is the J&K Election Incharge, and Tarun Chugh, the Incharge of J&K Affairs, saw the finalisation of the committee’s composition. Key attendees included senior BJP leaders and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Election Manifesto Drafting Committe.
The Election Manifesto Drafting Committee includes: Chairman Former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, Dr. Drakshan Andrabi, Devender Rana, former minister Shakti Parihar, former MLC GL Raina, and General Secretaries Ashok Koul (Organisation), Sunil Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, and Dr. Devender Manyal.
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina stated, “Our manifesto will be people’s manifesto and will have a five-year roadmap for the development of J&K.” He further added that the committee members will engage with people across J&K to gather their suggestions before finalizing the BJP’s manifesto.
