Set to open offices across all Assembly segments
Deputes six senior leaders to finalise poll strategy
JAMMU, Aug 10: With the recent visit of the full Election Commission to Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in the Union Territory.
On Monday, (August 12), the party will inaugurate 50 election offices across J&K, one in each Assembly segment.
Munish Khajuria, J&K Incharge of BJP Pravasi Morcha, informed Rising Kashmir that the BJP high command has also deployed six senior leaders to J&K to strategize and finalize the party’s election plans. The leaders include Thakur Rajeev Bhardwaj (MP-HP), Dhan Singh Rawat (Uttarakhand Minister), Madan Kaushik (BJP National Executive Member), Shrikant Sharma (MLA Mathura), and Trilok Singh Jamwal (MLA-HP). All five have arrived in J&K today, while Ashwani Sharma (MLA-Pathankot) is expected to reach Jammu tomorrow.
Sources within the party revealed that the 50 election offices will be opened on August 12, with Union Minister and J&K Election Incharge, G. Kishan Reddy, and BJP J&K Incharge, Tarun Chugh, presiding over the event.
With 43 Assembly seats in Jammu and 47 in Kashmir, the BJP’s election offices will cover every segment, ensuring a robust campaign strategy across the region.
The six deputed leaders have been tasked with crafting the strategy for all 90 Assembly seats in close collaboration with senior BJP leaders in J&K.
