Jammu, May 05: Aam Aadmi Party Jammu & Kashmir on Friday accused the Bharatiya Janat Party (BJP) of misusing the central agencies like CBI and ED, and also influencing the courts.
“The leaders of opposition parties have been arrested or jailed. The corrupt politicians who joined BJP have been exonerated and only the opposition and downtrodden are crushed and defamed,” said senior AAP J&K leaders Farooq Ahmed Banday, Kuldeep Kumar Rao and Sukhdev Kumar Sangral while carrying out a door-to-door awareness program at Jammu North Assembly Constituency.
According to a party statement issued here, the leaders accused the ruling party of working in an autocratic manner.
They said that the majority of the Centrally-sponsored schemes are not practically applied on the ground. “The youth are jobless and 50 percent have become drug addicts. A huge amount has been utilized for propaganda. Rs 23,000 crore has been utilized for advertisements, radio, TV, media and hoardings by the BJP-led Central government,” they said.
The AAP leaders said since 2014, the BJP has failed to “fulfill even a single promise”. “In spite of the tall claims of the BJP government at the Centre, the ground situation is entirely different. The public at large is fed up with the monotonous, dull and boring ‘MANN KI BAAT’ of Modiji. Youth is fed up with his false and fake promises. PM is silent on his promises of corruption-free government, fuel prices, inflation, unemployment and a number of problems. He has remained silent on the problems of wrestlers and the allegations of the former Governor of J&K, Mr. Satya Pal Malik,” they said.
The public should remain united and support the capable honest candidates having a clean image to form the next government at the Centre, they said, adding, “Priority should be given to new youth and honest public representatives and not to the party representatives forced upon the public by the party in power.”
