Ganderbal, an essential district in Kashmir, was chosen as the venue for this significant event. Bhat drew attention to the “remarkable achievement” of the completion of the two-lane steel arch bridge, a vital infrastructure project in Ganderbal that had been pending for over seventy years. “This bridge plays a crucial role in facilitating tourism and connectivity, as it serves as a gateway to popular destinations like Sonamarg, the route to Ladakh, and the starting point of the national highway from Kashmir to Kanyakumari,” he said.
Manzoor also pointed out the “unfortunate lack of attention” given to the district’s development by previous chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir. “However, under the BJP’s rule, the bridge was successfully completed, and significant improvements were made in other sectors, including tourism, education, and water supply,” he said.
BJYM National Council Member Bilal Parray also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the “remarkable progress” achieved in the past nine years, particularly after the abrogation of Article 370. He highlighted the “extensive development” in various sectors, such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education, which has significantly benefited the people of Kashmir.
District President Ganderbal Mohammad Amin Shah expressed gratitude to the PM for fulfilling the long-awaited completion of the bridge in Ganderbal. Shah commended the speed and efficiency with which the project was executed, emphasizing that it had remained unresolved under previous governments.
Following the event, Manzoor Bhat, Bilal Parray, and Mohd Amin Shah visited several villages in Ganderbal to interact with local youth and residents and listened to their concerns and grievances. They assured the people that their issues would be addressed promptly and effectively.
