Akhnoor, Sept22: In a significant outreach to the people of Akhnoor Assembly Constituency, BJP candidate Mohan Lal toured the villages of Ashram Colony, Sunail, Bharda Kalan, Gandarwan, among others, engaging with local residents and outlining his vision for a progressive and secure Jammu and Kashmir.
Accompanied by key party leaders, including DDC Sharda Bhau, Mandal President Sham Singh, Ex Chairman MC Sanjay Saraf, and senior BJP figures such as Sobha Ram Sharma, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Ram Swaroop, and Dalbir Singh, Mohan Lal addressed multiple gatherings, reiterating the BJP’s commitment to public welfare, development, and national security.

Lambasting the NC-Congress alliance, Mohan Lal called their manifesto “against the national interest” and accused the opposition of siding with separatists and anti-national forces. He assured the people of Akhnoor that under the BJP’s leadership, the region would be developed as a model constituency for the entire state.

Among his key promises, Mohan Lal pledged to expedite compensation for farmers whose land had been acquired by defense forces and to review the smart meter system to ensure that it is public-friendly. He highlighted BJP’s efforts in ensuring women’s welfare, youth employment, and the protection of the interests of farmers and deprived classes.

“BJP is the only party that genuinely cares for the women, youth, farmers, and the deprived sections of society. After the abrogation of Article 370, we have ensured citizenship rights for refugees and ownership rights for custodians. Under BJP, we aim to create 5 lakh job opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mohan Lal stated.

He also assured farmers that they would have access to adequate irrigation water to improve agricultural productivity and appealed to voters to choose BJP on October 1 for development, public welfare, and the protection of national integrity and security.

Sending a strong message to the opposition, Mohan Lal challenged the NC-Congress alliance, cautioning them against “playing with the sentiments of Hindus” by proposing any changes to the names of Hindu monuments, temples, or mountains.

The meetings were attended by several prominent local leaders, including Ex Sarpanch Parshant Sharma, Tilak, Ashok Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, and Deepak Sharma. The BJP campaign in Akhnoor continues to gather momentum as the constituency gears up for the upcoming elections.
