Jalandhar, March 01: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Jammu & Kashmir Branch Office JKBO granted All India First License to M/s The Aarko Pipe Gram Udyog, Jalandhar for surface boxes for sluice valves as per IS 3950:1979.
BIS had extensively carried out seminar and manak manthan programmes for various industries of Punjab.
“Subsequently M/s The Aarko Pipe Gram Udyog applied for BIS certification of the product. Surinder Kumar (Production Manager) and Munish Kumar (QA/QC Engineer) from the firm were honoured by granting a copy of BIS license by R R Singh, Head of PGD Deptt,” a statement said, adding the firm representatives lauded the initiatives of BIS for reaching at the doorsteps of manufacturers and guiding them.
BIS has started a quality revolution by conducting seminars and manak manthan programmes for various Industries of different regions so as to cover whole Clusters of Industries in the country and making better standards on various products.
“By granting this license in Jalandhar, BIS has added another feather in the cap. BIS is continuing this endeavour of reaching far flung areas in the region so as to make every manufacturer a part of BIS family,” the statement added.
