BIS conducts educational outreach programme with MoU Institution GCET Jammu

Jammu, Mar 14: As a part of its Educational Outreach programme with MoU Institutions, a team of BIS Officers – Pankaj Atri, Joint director, JKBO; Devansh Deolekar, Scientist D, LITD; Rajesh Choudhary, Scientist B, CED; Neeraj Kushwaha, Scientist B, ETD; Hawelikar Dushyant Satyaprem, Scientist B, MTD; Pushpendra Kumar, Scientist B, CHD organized a Faculty Sensitisation Programme at Government College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Jammu on Thursday.

The workshop included the aspects on Overview of BIS & Standardization ecosystem in the country, Role of research projects in standards formulation, Digital initiatives of BIS including joining BIS as a member of technical committee, Proposals on new standards, Guidelines on Research and Development Projects by BIS, Terms of References, etc.

Sohan Lal, Registrar, GCET Jammu and approx 50 faculty and research scholars across different disciplines of GCET Jammu attended the programme with great zeal and enthusiasm.
